morning

I wish I could remember what we had for breakfast! Probably just muffins and stuff because we had no heat… Which meant we needed to adjust our plans for the day and drive back to reykjavik to get a new propane thingy for our camp stove

reykjavik
back in reykjavik to get some stufffff

lunch
lunch was a little bit awkward, because we weren’t sure if we were supposed to order at the bar or wait for someone to come take our order, so I got a bit anxious, unfortunately. but! Jordan was cool as a cucumber for me

exploring
we did a teensy bit more exploring before leaving again, including checking out some gift shops and getting some coffee!

on the road again!
we actually stopped at a little geothermal walking path that was quick and super fun, but I only took videos, which this dumb piece of crap website won’t let me post without upgrading! so just imagine it for me ❤
seljalandsfoss

walter mitty waterfall!!!!
(aka skogarfoss)
ben stiller walks across in front of this waterfall while in “afghanistan” and it was so cool to see it in real life!!! we got completely drenched againnnnn

thakgil
drive to thakgil
the drive to our second campsite was really freaking cool!! this is a super unique campsite that my Dad and I stayed at when we went to Iceland as well, and it was really cool to see the same sights again. it was also fun to do some of the driving myself this time! Jordan taught me some of the basics of driving on unpaved roads, which I had never really done before, and it was so fun!!!
there was one overlook (sort of) that we pulled off at to take in the view at the same time as a german couple that was driving in a van-type vehicle, and they were so nice! they offered to take a picture of us and instructed us to jump, which was hilarious because I couldn’t jump very well while holding my camera lol. but it ended up in a cute picture of us having a blast in Iceland:)

settling in
we paid, found a spot, and got our tent set up for night two! we also stole a picnic table and brought it over to our car to help with cooking
