hljodaklettar national park
this was another really cool new area that Jordan and I explored! it was very close to our campground, and basically just had a lot of different easy trails you could walk along and explore

the amount of columnar basalt was just incredible!

there was one feature specifically that I was dying to see, because I found it on google maps and it looked so amazing!! I was worried we wouldn’t find it, but……..

it was so much bigger than I thought it was from the photos!!!
we had fun wandering around for a little bit, and we took lots of cool pictures! it was like heaven for me and my rocks
there was one part where we took our socks and shoes off and waded through some shallow water because people were taking foreverrrr to get past one part, and it was so silly and random and fun! (omg we’re so quirky)

grjotagja/myvatn geothermal area
our next stop was an underground geothermal lake in a cave!
it was just a fun little side-stop:)

godafoss
you guessed it, another waterfall!

driving
we saw the cutest stoplights while driving through a little town!

setting up camp!

we had a real struggle cooking tonight because it was pretty windy and the camp stove kept blowing out:/ I think we made some chili!
